The Girls of Summer

From left: Meghan, Marie, Francesca, and Hannah.

These are my fabulous Girls of Summer - the FIRST FOUR young ladies to complete my three-seminar minimum to be able to participate in Lafayette, Louisiana's first-ever Children's Community Garden !!!

Thanks here go to Sandy & Marshall Mugnier, who own Marshall's nursery (and have for more than half of a century!). Through Marshall's generosity and Sandy's vision, this community garden has been established and will be created in the next few weeks, and the first planting will likely take place in the first week or two of September, with these young ladies placing the very first seeds into the ground.

They are (left to right in the above photo) Meghan, Marie, Francesca, and Hannah, all smart as whips, committed to gardening and engagingly funny and fun to be around. May they remain in love with gardening all their beautiful lives.

They are the daughters I never had but would love to adopt in a nano-second.

I will post more about their three-hours of study and training in the gardening arts later, so check back with this website and read all about it.
